THE GRAND FAERIE BALL

  28th August - 8:30pm - 12:30am - EAST DENE, BONCHURCH

The Grand Faerie ball. An Evening of magical wonderment and delight. Dance in the company of the faerie court in the presence of Titania and Oberon.

With Music from professional flautist Siobhan CosGrove, (more tba soon) entertainment from the cast of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, a raffle, photobooth, bar and Buffet and complimentry champagne on arrival, the evening will mark the end of the first ISLE OF WIGHT SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL. The ball is in aid of Parkinsons UK.

A message from Parkinsons - Every hour, someone in the UK is told they have Parkinson’s. One in 20 is under the age of 40. People with Parkinson’s don’t have enough of the chemical dopamine in their brain because some of the nerve cells have died. Without it, people can find that their movements become slower and they develop tremors and stiffness, and it can take them a long time to do even the most everyday of tasks, like making a cup of tea.

As the UK’s Parkinson’s support and research charity, we’re passionate about improving life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s. We bring people with Parkinson’s, their families and their carers together via our network of local groups, our website and free confidential helpline. Specialist nurses, our supporters and staff also provide information and training on every aspect of Parkinson’s.

Our work is totally dependent on voluntary donations, and on events like the Grand Faerie Ball, which raise valuable funds. With the support of groups like the IWSC, we will be able to extend the range of services we provide and fund the research that is taking us ever closer to a cure.
Because we’re here, no-one has to face Parkinson’s alone.
